Refill

Why Refill?

Every minute, one million plastic bottles are bought around the world, and that figure is expected to go up 20% by 2021. In the UK alone, we consume 13 billion plastic bottles a year – 7.7 billion of them are plastic water bottles, despite us having some of the best quality drinking water in the world.

So, what can we do about it?
If just 1 in 10 Brits Refilled once a week, we’d save around 340 million plastic bottles a year. Refill is the answer - Refill gives you free and easy access to refreshing tap water when you're out and about.

Look out for the blue Refill sticker in the window of local businesses and ask to refill your bottle. They'll do it for free, or you can use the self-service station provided with no catch.

Download the app to easily find Refill stations and you can register your Refills to measure your personal impact.

Community-based Refill Schemes have put thousands of Refill stations on the map, working in their local community and helping to stop millions of plastic bottles at source. There are now over 100 Refill Schemes across the UK and the Refill Revolution has started to roll out internationally. A Refill Scheme is an organised group of individuals, who are coordinating the Refill mission in their local area.
