Blithfield Reservoir is a beautiful 790 acre lake set in the lush, rolling Blithe Valley.
The Blithfield Estate was opened to the public in 2009 with the help of Natural England, and advice from the West Midland Bird Club and the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.
Footpaths, bird hides and feeding stations help to open up much of this Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), so everyone can enjoy this tranquil corner of England.
The 100 acre Chelmarsh Reservoir is set in the rolling Shropshire countryside between Bridgnorth and Bewdley, near to the village of Highley.
Built in 1963 to store water pumped from the nearby River Severn, it is popular with anglers and sailors alike.
