You will need to notify us in writing and, for certain types of installation, also provide a plan and a diagram of the pipework.
Please do not start work without notifying us. Consent must be given before work can go ahead. Anyone who does carry out this work without seeking notification and consent could face prosecution.

After you notify usOnce you have notified us of an installation, our water inspectors may check the plumbing systems, processes and equipment used.
They assess risk by identifying contraventions of the regulations, advise if remedial action is required, and provide the time scales in which the work must be carried out. Once remedial work has been completed, we carry out a re-inspection to ensure compliance.
