Posted: 19 June 2020

Work is due to start on an essential project to replace water mains in Sutton Coldfield

The project is part of our ongoing improvement programme resulting in improved water quality and a reliable water supply to customers.

Where:
We will be replacing about 2km of water main along Braemar Road, Morven Road, Roxburgh Road, Elwyn Road, Teddington Close and across Jockey Road.

When:
The work started on Monday 29 June 2020 and will continue until the middle of September.

Will traffic be affected?
In order to carry out the works as safely and efficiently as possible in the narrow roads, there will be road closures in place.

  • Braemar Road – temporary road closure from Monday 29 June
  • Morven Road – temporary road closure from Monday 10 August

Access will be maintained to frontages at all times.

We are committed to investing in new water mains, to reduce leakage by at least 15% and to ensure our customers continue to receive a reliable and high-quality water supply.
