We will be replacing existing water mains with a new, high-performance plastic water mains to ensure quality and reliable water supply.

When will the work take place?
Work will begin on Marshall Street, progressing on West Park Road with works of a shorter duration then taking place on St Pauls Road and Mallin Street.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 20th July 2026 and is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete.
Our teams will normally work between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, evening or weekend work may be required to reduce traffic disruption.
Changes to trafficTo complete the work safely, the following traffic management will be in place:
Monday 20th July to Sunday 30th August 2026, a road closure will be in place on Marshall Street
Wednesday 12th August to Tuesday 18th August 2026, traffic signals will be in place on St Pauls Road at the junction of Marshall Street.
Saturday 22nd August to Sunday 30th August 2026, traffic signals will be in place on West Park Road, at the junction with St Pauls Road and Mallin Street.
Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place where necessary.
