We will be replacing an existing water main with a new, high-performance plastic water main to ensure quality and reliable water supply.

When will the work take place? 

Work will start on Monday 3 November - for a period of 10-15 days - with a new district meter being installed on Trinity Road North. Our team will be working between the hours of 7:30 and 17:30 on weekdays; however, we will be working on Grice Street at the junction of Spon Lane South, over two weekends (8 - 9 and 15-16 November). 

Changes to traffic

To complete the work as safely and efficiently as possible, we will be occupying a section of highway and the verge on Trinity Road North between properties numbers 10 to 20.  This will restrict parking whilst we undertake the connection to the water main. We will do our utmost to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.

Across the two weekends mentioned, we will be required to close the entrance into Grice Street from Spon Lane South, which will restrict access while the works place.  A suitable diversion route will be in place via Spon Lane South, Kelvin Way, Ault Street and Bullock Street.
