We will be replacing the existing water mains and renewing service pipes that lead up to the boundaries of properties in and around Aldridge.
Where will the work take place?
Work will take place on the following roads:
Whetstone Lane (From junction Erdington Road to Weston Crescent)
Beaufort Way
Charlesdale Drive
Weston Crescent
Orchard Grove
Lawson Close
Hartley Drive
We will be deploying two teams to complete the work. Team 1 will undertake the renewal of Whetstone Lane, starting at the junction of Erdington Road working progressively towards Weston Crescent, picking up Beaufort Way and Charlesdale Drive as works progress along Whetstone Lane. Team 2 will undertake the renewal of Weston Crescent, moving onto Orchard Grove, Lawson Closure and Hartley Drive.
When will the work take place?
The work will start on Monday 20th July 2026, for a duration of approximately 6 weeks. Our team will be working between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm on weekdays. Weekend and nighttime work may be required to limit traffic disruption on occasion.
Changes to traffic
To complete the work as safely and efficiently as possible we will be required to install a road closure on Whetstone Lane, and Weston Crescent. We may need to occupy the space directly outside your property, which may restrict parking. Should this happen, our staff on site will communicate with you in person to organise sufficient alternative parking. Access to frontages will be maintained throughout the duration of the work, and a suitable diversion route will be in place.
