We will be replacing 10km of water mains across Draycott in the Clay, Six Roads End and Marchington Cliff.

When will the work take place?

We have now successfully renewed approximately 6km of the existing water mains across A515 Draycott Cliff, Six Roads End and Marchington Cliff.  We will be returning to the area to complete the remaining work as part of the second phase of the programme.

Work will take place from 12 July 2026, for a period of 10 weeks, on the following roads:

  • A515 Draycott Cliff, at the junction of Six Roads End, B5017, Forest Road & Hollybush Road

  • Forest Road

  • Thorney Lane

Our team will be working between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm on weekdays. Weekend and nighttime work may be required to limit traffic disruption on occasion.

Changes to traffic

To complete the work as safely and efficiently as possible we will be required to install several road closures, temporary traffic signals and a reduced speed limit. Details of the traffic management that will be in place are listed below,

  • A515 Draycott Cliff will have 3-way temporary traffic signals and a reduced speed limit in place from 20th July 2026, through to 16th August 2026.  Road closures will also be in place at the junction of Forest Road, Hollybush Road and Six Roads End.

  • Forest Road leading onto Thorney Lane will then remain closed, with the closure in place for a total duration of ten weeks, starting from 20th July 2026 through to 29th September 2026.

Access to frontages will be maintained throughout the duration of the works, and a signed diversion route in place.
