We will soon be carrying out essential work to replace ageing water mains in your area. This will help reduce leaks and provide a more reliable water supply for the future.
Where we will be working
The work will take place on:
Footherley Lane
Mill Lane
Lynn Lane
Work will begin on Footherley Lane, moving onto Mill Lane and finishing on Lynn Lane.
When the work will take place
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 31st August 2026 and is expected to take approximately eight weeks to complete. Our teams will normally work between 7:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, evening or weekend work may be required to reduce traffic disruption.
Traffic changes
To complete the works safely and minimise risk to the public, temporary road closures will be required at the following locations:
Footherley Lane – Road closure commencing 31 August 2026
Mill Lane – Road closure commencing 14 September 2026
Lynn Lane – Road closure commencing 5 October 2026
The closures will be implemented on a phased basis, with only one road closure in operation at any given time to minimise disruption to residents and road users. Clearly signed diversion routes will be provided where required, and access arrangements will be maintained in accordance with the approved traffic management plan.
