Receive face-to-face support with your water bill

We’re running a roadshow across our supply area to offer customers the opportunity to receive face-to-face financial support with their water bill.

South Staffs community roadshow vehicleFrom 3 to 25 April, our community team will be popping up in town centres across our supply area and will be on hand to offer free support to anyone who needs help with their water bill.

  • Cannock Market Place – Thursday 10 April
  • Merry Hill Shopping Centre – Friday 11 April
  • Lidl on Lichfield Street in Burton – Thursday 17 April
  • New Square in West Bromwich – Thursday 24 April
  • Sainsbury’s Reedswood in Walsall – Friday 25 April

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that customers across England and Wales will see an increase in their water bills. Our combined bill (including sewerage services provided by Severn Trent) will rise to £1.26 a day on average.

This rise comes as we prepare to spend £926 million across our South Staffs and Cambridge regions to protect water supplies, improve our customer service, enhance the environment and safeguard the resilience and health of our infrastructure.

What support can I receive?

Our community team can chat you through your bill and discuss ways to help reduce the size or manage your bill.

We have a range of options available to support those struggling to pay their water bill including our Assure tariff – a tariff that supports households on a low income by offering a discount on their charges for three years, and WaterSure - a national scheme designed to help families save money if they use a lot of water and receive certain income-related benefits.

We will be introducing our new Assure Essential Saver tariff soon to help more of our customers save money and water.

On top of this, customers who need extra support due to medical, learning or physical disabilities, or due to financial difficulties, can receive further help through our Priority Services Register.
