Staffordshire is now one of the UK's most water-stressed regions. That means the pressure on supply is real, and the gap between how much water we have and how much we use is set to grow.
That’s why we’re investing £80 million to cut leaks by 20% before 2030, saving 10.8 million litres a day. That's our move. And with your help we can achieve so much more.

We tackle leaks head-on. Our engineers are out around the clock, monitoring flows and spotting leaks before most people know there's even an issue. And when customers report the leaks they've seen? We welcome the assist.
Prevention is part of our playbook too. By installing automated pressure-management equipment and renewing the older parts of the mains, we keep the risk of bursts to a minimum.
Our £80 million investment is already showing results: 1,120 underground leaks found and fixed in 2025, saving 1 million litres a day across the region. Every leak fixed is a win for the whole team.

We're here to coach you, equip you and cheer you on. That's why we're rolling out meters and smart meters across the region, giving you a clearer picture of your water use and how to reduce your bill.
Our teams are out in the community every week, working with schools and local organisations to inspire and train the Water Champions of tomorrow. Because the more of us that know the moves, the stronger we all become.
Through our websites, the Get Water Fit tool and other means, we're also helping thousands to create their own personal training plan and get free water-saving devices delivered straight to their door.

The rivers, reservoirs and catchments that feed our network need protecting long before water reaches your tap. That's why we monitor water quality across the region, testing regularly to track ecosystem health, detect pollutants and respond quickly when something isn't right.
We also work directly with farmers and landowners in priority catchments to tackle pollution at source, using grass strips, beetle banks, cover crops and soil-health schemes to reduce runoff and keep water cleaner.
Where rivers need extra protection, we fund fencing, improved livestock tracks and relocated gateways to stop sediment entering the water. And our dedicated catchment team is out every week, identifying risks and encouraging best practice among residents, farmers and businesses. Healthy land means healthy water.

Champions don't just react. They train for what's coming.
We use data modelling and predictive management tools to forecast future supply and demand, identify where pressure on the network is building and make smarter investment decisions before problems arise.
That means analysing everything from population growth to climate projections, helping us to plan ahead, strengthen the network and prepare for future challenges.
The goal is to keep South Staffordshire’s water supply strong, resilient and ready for a hotter, drier future.
